Situated on the ground floor of a Victorian manor house in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, The Public House follows on our family’s tradition of running great pubs. For us there are four things that make a great Pub: the beers, the food, the ambience and of course the staff.
Along with a large range of high quality wines and spirits, our Pub is recognised as being at the forefront of the recent “Craft Beer Revolution”. We have 23 draught beers available from all around the world. These ever changing lines focus on the very best hand crafted beers we can lay our hands on, from trend setting breweries like Brewdog, Flyingdog, Magic Rock and Mikkeller to our local favourites like Larkins, Pig & Porter and Darkstar to name a few. Great beer is something we are dead serious about.
Of course, we are not just focused on luxury libations. Sankey's is renowned locally for its seafood and of course some of our favourites feature on this menu including fish & chips, Sankey’s Smokie and our home smoked fishcakes. That being said our Pub menu caters for a wider audience. A firm favourite being our totally homemade burgers - our chefs even make the buns.
On a Sunday, we have become famous for our Sunday roasts. We are constantly being told that they are the best in town and the best value!
So whether you are a fish lover or not our pub is a great place to come and relax or party with friends.
