Sankey's Release 300th baby Lobster into the Cornish Sea
We have released our 300th baby lobster into the cornish sea, thanks to your help

We buy all our lobsters from Cornwall, as we belive them to be the best in the world.  Unfortunatly it's not a never ending supply and with the help from our friends at the National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow, we are trying to do out bit to keep this wonderful creature in our waters and on our menus.

Every Lobster served in Sankey's will pay (with your help) for a baby lobster to be released back into the Cornish seas to help conserve stocks.  How does this work....

It costs the National Lobster Hatchery £3.50 to raise and release a baby lobster.  If you donate £1.75 everytime you order a lobster Matthew Sankey will match your donation to pay for the costs of raising and releasing a baby lobster on your behalf.

What do you have to do? Nothing. The donation will be added to your bill - if you would then like to gift aid your donation forms are available and the government will give them an extra 28% on top of your donation.

Have a look at www.nationallobsterhatchery.co.uk for more information about their work.

Since October 2008 we have been running this scheeme and this month we have raised well over £1000 pounds for the charity.  This month (June 2009) we have hit the 300 mark!  Thank you so much for all your support, the next target is the 500 mark!!
